The "Authentic" Starbucks Secret Menu Singapore Edition

So, when I was studying in Polytechnic I worked at Starbucks for 2 years. 2 years is a long time which leaves me with a lot of time to experiment and pick up secret recipes from the senior partners!

After reading the Starbuck's secret menu article, it seems that some drinks could not be made in Singapore and lacks the Singapore flavour. So I thought I would write a local edition of the Starbucks secret menu.

Lemon Barley
The Chinese New Year drink that everybody loves. Looking to be in the mood for CNY? Try this!

How to order: 2 parts Lemonade + 1 part Water + Vanilla syrup

Instructions for Ordering: You can order a Passion Tea Lemonade or Green Tea Lemonade. Ask the Barista to replace the Classic syrup with Vanilla and replace the Tea with Water. It would be best to have 2 parts Lemonade and 1 part water, otherwise it may be too diluted.

Ribena
The excessively sweet childhood drink that could quench the insatiable thirst of millions of kids on a scorching hot day.

How to order: Raspberry Blackcurrant Juice + 2 parts Lemonade + 1 part Water

Instructions for Ordering: You can order a Passion Tea Lemonade or Green Tea Lemonade. Ask the Barista to replace the Classic syrup with 1 to 2 shots of Raspberry Blackcurrant. Replace Tea with Water.

Caveat: I have tried the drink, but never attempted to order it before. Since Starbucks encourages customizing your drinks, I believe they have no reasons to reject the order. So please, try it!

Banana Chocolate Milk Shake
Thinking of getting Frappuccino, but feeling guilty about it being too unhealthy? Fret not! Add a banana into it. The infusion of chocolate with banana reminds you of the old days where people still ate banana sundae. The addition of the banana creates a thick creamy texture that tastes like blended banana chocolate sundae.

How to order: Mocha Frappuccino + Banana (Caffeinated) / Chocolate Cream Frappuccino + Banana (Non- Caffeinated)

*change the drink to Java Chip or Chocolate Chip Cream to make it extra chunky and thick!

Instructions for Ordering: Order a Mocha or Chocolate Cream Frappuccino and a Banana, and ask the Barista to blend the Banana into the drink.

Yoghurt
Yoghurt lovers, it's time to rejoice! For those who crave for something sour and tangy and milky at the same time.

How to order: Raspberry Blackcurrant Concentrate + Milk / Mango Passion Fruit Concentrate + Milk

Instructions for Ordering: Ask for a Raspberry Blackcurrant or Mango Passion Fruit Frappuccino and request the Barista to change the Tea to Milk.

Caveat: I've ordered and tried it quite a few times. At that time, the Barista was quite apprehensive about mixing the two together. But it turns out absolutely fine.

Neapolitan (Seasonal)
Remember those days where the mama shop sold Neapolitan cup ice cream and you would only eat the flavors you liked? For me it was the chocolate and strawberry. As time passes, I grew to appreciate eating the three flavors together. The first few sips really brings back the nostalgic feeling of being young.

How to order: Mocha Frappuccino + Strawberry syrup + Vanilla syrup (Caffeinated)
Chocolate Cream Frappuccino + Strawberry syrup + Vanilla syrup (Non- Caffeinated)

Instructions for Ordering: Order a Mocha or Chocolate Cream Frappuccino and ask for Strawberry and Vanilla syrup. One to two pumps of syrup would be just nice.
